So I’ve had more time to think about what I wanted to say about myself.  After running this blog and my tech one (technewsmadesimple.com), I found it hard to update every other day with my very busy schedule.  So now that I have merged my 2 sites together, I will have a lot more content to publish.  But it isn’t all about publishing and saying every random babble that comes from my mind…  It took me awhile to try and brand myself.  My generic profile was always “Full-time scientist, part-time tech support, part-time gamer, part-time cook, full-time geek.” but I couldn’t commit to any one topic.  After learning more about marketing and social media, I found myself learning all that I could in the fastest amount of time possible.  Add my blogs to the mix as well as learning to live-stream (Ustream, LiveStream, Qik) and learning WordPress and you have a full house on top of a full time job.  And then it hit me… I was hacking through everything, learning a lot to get by and get to get the job done in the most cost-effective manner.  And that my friends, is the new kurteng.com, a story of me hacking my way through conferences, cooking, technology, WordPress and life!
