PAXEast 2012 recap

PAXEast 2012 recap

It has been a solid 2-2.5 weeks since PAX East 2012 rolled into Boston for the 3rd straight year. The only difference this year was that I was denied my media badge… But I was still able to get my Friday and Sunday tickets and had to get my Saturday’s badge from someone else. But [...]

Mass Effect 3: Nay for me…

Mass Effect 3: Nay for me…

I’ve had 2 days to play the demo, both single player and multiplayer and I’ve got to say, I am not a fan of the 3rd person shooters.  Mass Effect 3 has superb graphics (even for a demo) and while the story is going to be absolutely smashing, I just cant seem to pull away [...]

Battlefield 3 or where I have been for the past few months…

Battlefield 3 or where I have been for the past few months…

For awhile now, I’ve been steadily gaming… whether it was League of Legends (LoL and it is free), Team Fortress 2 (TF2), or Call of Duty: Black Ops (CoD:BO), I was waiting for anxiously for October and November to come. Battlefield 3 came out October 26th and I was fortunate enough to play the beta for a little bit. Here, I wanted to finally go over some reactions, post some pictures and videos as well as my server info for those who want to join/add me!

Another year, another wonderful PAX East event! Kudos to the awesome people at Penny Arcade as I saw so many games, got to play so many demos and card games (many thanks to the patient people who taught me Munchkin Zombies and Revolution) and saw a LOT of cosplay. I have a video of some [...]

Half-Life 2 on Macs

Half-Life 2 on Macs

It has only taken 6 years, but Mac owners can now enjoy what the rest of us Windows owners have enjoyed for the past half-decade.  Awesome gaming! Valve has confirmed that Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and 2 will be released today on the Steam platform.  I honestly can’t wait to try it out. [...]

Gaming on the Mac

It is about time! Steam released their platform for “cloud” gaming for Mac OS X last week and I have had a full week of gaming to assess whether or not Macs can handle full-time gaming.  The verdict?  It is OK. Just OK.  Since this is the first huge release for gaming on the Mac, [...]

Update: here is the slideshow! I’m here a bit early and I have a couple of pics of vendors setting up.  There are a lot of people down stairs waiting to get in!  It is going to be one looooong day!  Keep tuned to more pics.  I’ll be putting them up in Flickr as the [...]

PAXEast 2010: My Schedule

PAXEast 2010: My Schedule

T-minus 10 days until the first ever PAXEast event held here in Beantown.  It is a packed filled weekend starting at 2pm Friday the 26th until 6pm on Sunday the 28th.  With 5 simultaneous tracks as well as other events going on at the same time, I need to go in to PAX with a [...]
